To ensure UNO meets federal accessibility standards ahead of schedule, the University has set an internal compliance deadline of January 5, 2026, well in advance of the national requirement on April 24, 2026.
Now is the time to encourage faculty to begin reviewing and updating their Canvas course materials to meet accessibility requirements for the fall semester. Resources and support are available to help you make your courses compliant and accessible for all students.
Effective July 1st, there is a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that applies to all full-time faculty.
