2025-2026 Catalog Timeline

The catalog for the 2025-26 academic year will open November 1st  for revision. All updates, changes and additions are done in the system at the college and/or unit levels, and representatives are responsible for ensuring that all content has been submitted, reviewed, and approved before forwarding for final processing. Please let us help with any catalog revision questions by contacting us at: unocourseleaf@unomaha.edu.

 

Catalog Timeline

  • November 1st: Catalog opens for revision
  • March 1st: Sign-off Representatives (all pages completed in workflow)
  • March 1st  - July 1st: Final processing/restricting of "Front End" - Final Process Catalog
  • July 1st: 2025-2026 catalog goes LIVE (no further changes to the catalog can be made after this date)

Faculty Development Fellowships

FDFs are an opportunity for faculty to focus and reinvigorate their research or creative activity program. Recommendations for 2025-26 FDFs are due from the colleges to Academic Affairs by Fri, 10/11. Additional information was shared with the colleges in August.

Fulbright Scholars

Do you have faculty interested in learning more about being a Fulbright Scholar? Check out the Fulbright Scholars website for more information.

Emeritus Recommendations

Does your department have faculty who will soon be retiring? Emeritus recommendations for faculty retiring midyear in December are due November 15. For additional information on eligibility for emeritus and the recommendation process, see the Emeritus folder in the College Resources SharePoint site. Questions? Spring 2025 Part-time Faculty

Spring 2025 semester planning (including J-session) is already underway. Signed contracts for part-time faculty teaching in the spring including E-PAF/PAFs for new/rehires, and the PT spreadsheet are due to Academic Affairs via SharePoint by 11/15. Questions? Creating Wicked Students: Paul Hanstedt Lecture

What is a wicked student, and how can we create them, and why does this matter? Paul Hanstedt, author of Creating Wicked Students: Designing Courses for a Complex World, will present his insights regarding how general education and other courses can be designed to address the complex and evolving challenges of our world. Hanstedt's presentation will be followed by a discussion led by UNO faculty members.
