Since arriving in Omaha in January, I have truly enjoyed learning about the depth and breadth of expertise that characterizes UNO faculty. Examples of excellence abound from incredible stories of faculty commitment to students and their success to nationally and internationally recognized research and creative expertise to engaged work with community partners that impacts where we work and live. Diversity in faculty expertise and achievement is the foundation of UNO’s rich educational environment.

Recognizing and celebrating faculty achievement communicates to our colleagues that they are appreciated and valued members of the campus community. It is also a means of enhancing the visibility of UNO and telling our story. By elevating examples of faculty excellence, we enhance the reputation not only of individual faculty, but also of the campus in the surrounding community and across the system.
