We need your help as we look for our next Senior Vice Chancellor. We will host a series of forums, beginning May 9, to hear from you.

| View in browser Mavericks,   Our university is shaped by many factors and core to the institution’s mission of access and achievement is academics.   I am pleased to share that following initial exhaustive evaluation and outreach, we are ready to move forward in our search for UNO’s next Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs by hearing directly from you.   We will be holding a series of campus forums in the month of May to learn from our faculty, students, staff, and community members what is important to them in our next chief academic officer. Your feedback and ideas will help us inform the job prospectus and guide our search committee and search firm to identify the best candidate for this vital role   Please mark your calendars and bookmark the relevant Zoom link for any session that you would like to attend:   Monday, May 9 1 P.M. – Staff 2 P.M. – Public Tuesday, May 10 1 P.M. – Faculty 3 P.M. - Students Thursday, May 12 3 P.M. - Students Monday, May 16 2 P.M. – Faculty Tuesday, May 17 3 P.M. – Staff Wednesday, May 18 3 P.M. – Public I would also like to introduce the members of our search committee, which consists of representatives from faculty, students, staff, and other constituencies, in order to speak to the needs of the entire campus: • John Bartle, Ph.D. (Chair), Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Community Service • Keristiena Dodge, Chancellor Chief of Staff • Michelle Trawick, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Business Administration • Jaci Lindburg, Ph.D., Associate Vice President of Digital Education and IT Strategy, NU System • Rich Klein, Ph.D., Vice Chancellor for Strategic Institution and Student Success • Silva Raker, Chief Executive Officer, Kiewit Luminarium • Kaitlin Carlson, Staff Advisory Council Incoming President • Peggy Jones, MFA, Faculty Senate Incoming President • Sarah Edwards, Ph.D., Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs • Tori Simms, Student Body President/Regent • Ramón Guerra, Ph.D., Associate Professor of English and DEI Faculty Fellow The search committee will be supported by the nationally recognized search firm Diversified, which has a significant record of accomplishment of identifying and placing top-tier executive talent at some of the nation’s leading higher education institutions. Working together with our search committee, there is no doubt we will find the perfect candidate to champion our shared academic vision.   I will continue to engage with our campus throughout this process.
