Colleagues,
Today will be a momentous day for Omaha Athletics as we announce the next Director of Athletics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. This is an exciting time for our campus community, student-athletes, coaches and athletics staff, athletics supporters, and Maverick fans alike.
Within the hour, information will be shared with our UNO campus community and our friends in the media about a news conference to be held this afternoon regarding the future leadership of Omaha Athletics. I will be joined by NU System President Ted Carter and UNO hockey forward Nolan Sullivan in making this announcement.
I invite you to join me at the event this afternoon to help us usher in the next era of Omaha Athletics. The event will be held in Bootstrapper Hall within the Thompson Alumni Center beginning at 2:30 p.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the event starts if your schedules allow.
The event will also be streamed on the Omaha Athletics website at omavs.com if you cannot attend in person.
