Engaged Teaching and Learning Showcase

Celebrate how our community and university co-create throughout teaching and learning spaces. Expect a fast-paced, high-energy session, lively conversations, big ideas, and a buzzing atmosphere, all fueled by beverages and hearty appetizers. Register here.

 

Camp Completion

May 19 to 23, 9:00 to 3:00, Faculty Study Lounge (3rd floor CL)

Register on the CFE website for an immersive writing experience ideal for new faculty. Join colleagues for a week of focused writing on your chosen project(s). Peer support and writing consultants will be available. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

 

MavEd Course Design Workshop

Summer 2025, limited slots available

Design or redesign your course to align with UNO’s revised general education requirements by participating in this incentivized workshop (incentives vary from $1,000-$2,500 based on your course’s student enrollment).

 

The asynchronous course will run from May 26 to July 20, with an in-person meeting scheduled for May 20 (9:00 to 10:30) and a Zoom session scheduled for July 9 (9:00 to 10:30). Interested faculty can submit this short interest form or contact Matt Tracy with questions. Can’t make summer work?

 

Use the same form to apply for a fall session (September 9 through November 9).

 

Service Learning Seminar

July 21 to 24, 9:00 to 3:30

Interactive, in-person seminar to support faculty in bringing classroom teaching and learning into the community. Incentivized ($400); lunch and snacks are provided.  Register here.

 

 

Student Services Spotlight

Encourage students to use these campus resources to manage end-of-semester stress.

  • Campus Recreation and Wellness – Some physical activity can provide a welcomed break from studying and homework.
  • CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) - free, confidential counseling and other services in person, via phone, and telehealth.
  • De-Stress Fest – a UNO tradition that offers a variety of fun and relaxing activities the week before finals. Spring activities will be posted soon.

UNO- Did You Know

Where do campus units come together to celebrate student success? COMMENCEMENT! 🎉 Students, their friends, and families love seeing faculty at commencement.

 

Faculty who plan to attend need to RSVP via the Commencement webpage by May 1.
