Maverick Family,

As we near the end of the year and enter this holiday season, I want to take this moment to thank you for all your accomplishments that have made this year so memorable for UNO. 

To my colleagues, I am truly proud of the outstanding work you do every day to set our students up for success in their future careers and aspirations.

And, students, thank you for the hard work you put into your day-to-day lives that has brought you to this moment. The growth you have had throughout this year is inspiring.

While we celebrate this special time of year, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes to each of you. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment have made our university an example of excellence. May this holiday season bring you joy, peace, and moments of well-deserved rest. During this festive season, let us cherish the spirit of togetherness, reflect on our achievements, and embrace hope for the future. 

Even though we may not be together in person during the break, our campus resources are still here for you. Faculty and staff, you can utilize our Faculty and Staff Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP), or take advantage of employee access to our Campus Recreation and Wellness services. 

Students, you have resources available to you as well, like support from Wellness Coaches and other Resources managed through Campus Recreation and Wellness. And during the winter holiday, students can still connect with mental health support 24 hours a day by calling 402.554.2409 and pressing #2.

In addition to these, for any Maverick our Health Services Office; the Maverick Food Pantry; or any other number of resources are here to support your physical and mental health.

Once again, thank you for such an amazing semester and year. Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season filled with happiness and shared moments. I look forward to all we can accomplish in 2024!
