Most students dread presentations (and many teachers do too). Presentation assignments are a great way to help students build important communication skills. The UNO Office of Digital Learning has partnered with the Speech Center to discuss how to effectively create presentation assignments (including examples), grade work anonymously, assign peer reviews, and create effective assignment rubrics. This session will also allow for time to work on individual’s courses and ask questions.
YuJa offers video editing capabilities that allows you to improve your media content. Join us to learn how to use the video editing tools including: cutting and trimming, inserting/overriding videos, captioning editing and more!
Recently, we've been getting a lot of questions about YuJa Quizzing. To help with your questions, below you'll find videos that walk you through how to make the two types of YuJa Quizzes offered and how to add them as an assignment in Canvas. Looking for other YuJa resources? Check out our YuJa Resources Page.
Creating Video Quizzes in YuJa
One great feature in YuJa is the ability to create interaction content videos. Video quizzes are a way to insert knowledge check or reflection questions into your video to help increase knowledge retention and engagement. Question types include multiple choice, short answer, reflective pause, and decision point, among others. Click the button below to learn how.
Playback quizzes in YuJa are a way to give students credit for watching videos. There are two types of playback quizzes, giving students full-credit for hitting a certain threshold [10 out of 10 points for watching 80% of the video] or giving students a grade based on the percentage watched [5 out of 10 points for watching 50% of the video]. Click the button below to learn how.
One of the best things about using YuJa Quizzes is that the grades seamlessly migrate into the Gradebook when they are set up as assignments in Canvas. Click the button below to learn how to learn how!
