We hope you're settling into the semester well! This newsletter contains information about our new location, relevant technology tips, technology reminders about YuJa and setting up pronouns, and our September workshops and upcoming professional development opportunities!
Come see us in the Library!
As a reminder, The Office of Digital Learning and Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) have moved into our new library space! Come visit us on the third floor of the library, located just east of the faculty lounge! Our new location allows us a better opportunity to collaborate with faculty and staff across campus; we're excited to not only see you on zoom, but in-person as well in our new collaborative space! Stop by anytime between 9 and 4, Monday through Friday!
As you are getting into the thick of the semester, we wanted to share a couple tech tips and resources you might find beneficial:
Are you getting questions from students on how to add pronouns or a chosen name to Canvas? Are you personally looking to display your pronouns or chosen name? For students, adding and updating pronouns/chosen name can be done through Mavlink, while faculty and staff can do this through firefly. Learn how by watching the Gender Identity, Pronouns, and Gender Identity at the University of Nebraska video!
YuJa Panorama
You've probably noticed new icons in your course by now - these are powered by our newest accessibility tool, YuJa Panorama! YuJa Panorama is available for all faculty and students to use in their course(s), offering a variety of tools to help improve accessibility and enhance the student's learning experience. Missed our introduction workshops? Watch the recording or check out our Panorama resources page.
YuJa Video
With YuJa becoming our primary video platform! We want to make sure you have the sources you need to be successful. For help, check out the YuJa resource page, or schedule a one-on-one appointment with a member of the Digital Learning Team to learn more about it!
