The University of Nebraska Omaha is celebrating 50 years of Black Studies with a big music bash, according to the university's website.

Music of the Revolution will end the celebration of Black Studies. It will take place in the Pep Bowl on Dodge Campus at 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29.

If it rains, the event will move inside of the Milo Bail Student Center in the Ballroom and Nebraska Room.

Attendees can enjoy food, fun, friends, and music from the time the Department of Black Studies came to be at the university - the 1970s.

Feel free to wear 70s attire.

This music bash will end several virtual events celebrating Black Studies.

The last virtual event will take place Thursday, April 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.

It is a roundtable with the Black Studies chairs - called "The Historical Challenges and Future Directions for Black Studies Departments."
