Faculty Asked to Complete Higher Education Research Institute Survey

The 2025-26 Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) faculty survey has arrived in faculty inboxes. Please complete the survey before it closes on March 13.

2026-2027 Catalog Revisions Now Open

The catalog for the 2026-27 academic year is now open for revisions.

Updates and changes are completed at the college or unit level, and representatives are responsible for ensuring all content is submitted, reviewed, and approved before final processing.

Key deadlines:

  • March 2: Program updates must reach the Academic Affairs workflow level for review and potential inclusion in the 2026-27 catalog.
  • March 2 - July 1: Final catalog processing period.
  • July 1: The 2026-27 catalog goes live. No further changes can be made after this date.

Questions about catalog revisions can be directed to curriculum@unomaha.edu.

Academic Affairs is pleased to announce that the following have received the appropriate final approvals:

Stay Involved with UNO's Revised General Education Curriculum, MavEd.

If you haven't had a chance to get involved, there is still time!

Current initiatives, supported by Academic Affairs, the Center for Faculty Excellence, and the Weitz Innovation and Excellence fund, continue through the spring semester.

  • The MavEd Course Design Workshop will be held again in the spring, providing structured guidance for faculty interested in redesigning their courses around MavEd’s core elements.
  • The MavEd Orientation – for faculty and staff interested in refining their understanding of the revised curriculum and exploring new ways to support student success.
