Students will soon be receiving Enrollment Days information through UNO email, in Canvas, and on signage across campus. The purpose of Enrollment Days is to encourage students to register for the upcoming semester as soon as they are eligible. Doing so maximizes their course selection and minimizes the likelihood of being waitlisted.
It’s helpful when faculty members reinforce this campus-wide messaging by reminding students to:
Prepare to enroll by checking class schedules and reviewing their degree audit in MavLINK.
Group work can be an effective yet frustrating (for instructors and students) means to engage learners. Students may struggle to find time to meet with their group, encounter difficult personalities, and/or approach academic tasks very differently (some submit assignments well in advance of a deadline while others wait until the last possible moment). However, a quick review of Setting Students Up for Successful Group Work can help mitigate some of these challenges.
Join faculty colleagues from across campus for breakfast and an interactive discussion about supporting UNO students. Based on a proven framework, participants will discuss case scenarios involving student and faculty interactions and interact with staff from campus support units such as CAPS, ASC, DASH, and others.
Register here for breakfast and this opportunity to develop your skills and advance student success in your courses.
