Physics Department Leads in External Grants

Faculty in the UNO Physics Department have received over $3.4M in external grants over the past 6 months! We are only half-way through the 2023-2024 fiscal year, which began in July, and the department has already increased its total awards by 183% compared to the previous 5 years combined ($1.2M). Our department's total currently accounts for ~44% of the college's $7.7M total.

Students Present Biophysics Research

Five UNO undergraduate physics majors presented at the 2023 Fall Meeting of the American Physical Society Prairie Section, held in Columbia, MO. The group presented their research conducted in Dr. Krasnoslobodtsev biophysics lab. They were accompanied by UNO Research Associate Dr. Akhilesh Gupta, who also presented. If you see the following students on campus, ask about their research:
