Apply for Grade Nudge training and earn a stipend ($400 to $750). This free web app sends customized e-mails to students indicating how an upcoming assignment or exam grade will impact their course grades. It goes beyond reminder emails and takes little instructor time regardless of class size.
Use the three Rs of midterm instruction. Refocus and Re-energize teaching and learning by Revisiting your course learning objectives. Ask students to reflect on which objectives feel clear, challenging, or most relevant to their goals. As an instructor, highlight progress, clarify expectations, and connect upcoming topics to those objectives to renew focus, purpose, and shared accountability.
The UNO Alert Safety App, available for students, faculty, and staff, provides emergency contact information, the ability to chat with a public safety dispatcher, campus maps, a “Friend Walk” feature, latest weather, and links to campus support resources. Download the UNO Alert Safety App and encourage your students to do so as well.
UNO undergraduate and graduate students contribute to the research and creative activity that make our campus shine. Their work is showcased at the annual Student Research and Creative Activity Fair (March 27, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) Plan to attend. Prepare to be inspired.
