Northern Lights
Physics instructor Len Hillhouse was on KLKN-TV in Lincoln discussing the northern lights visible in Nebraska last week. This is an excellent primer on the science behind the phenomena.
Physics professor Dr. Chris Moore received a $2 million award from the US Dept. of Ed. for the ONE STEM Initiative. ONE stands for Omaha NE, and the initiative will increase access to STEM programming and grow the Nebraska STEM workforce.
