Upcoming opportunities

Second-year faculty, complete this Mentee Application by September 16 in order to participate in the TANDEM mentoring program (incentivized $100).

  • UCAT and Digital Learning Teaching Observations; Get more details and apply here. Options for in-person or online courses. Each participant earns $300 - while funds last.

Faculty Welcome Back to the Library – September 11, 2:30 - 4:30; Criss Library. Meet your subject librarian and colleagues from CFE and Digital Learning, tour the new CPL space, view the Osborne Gallery exhibit, and perhaps – win a door prize. Drop-in event - no registration required.

Wicked Students – November 15, 10:00 - 11:30; Limited seating, Register here

Paul Hanstedt, author of Creating Wicked Students: Course Design for a Complex World, will give an engaging lecture followed by a panel discussion led by UNO faculty.

Student Services Spotlight

UNO has two resources that provide students access to professional clothing that they might wear to an interview or career fair. As faculty members, you can help by making students aware of the resources and if you are interested, you can donate gently used business clothing.

 

UNO Alumni Association Career Closet

  • Students can get the schedule for the next pop-up shopping event by contacting Nathan Hankenson.
  • Faculty and staff donations are accepted on the last Wednesday of the month at the Thompson Alumni Center from 2:00 - 4:00 (Next date – September 25).

CBA Career Outfitters in Mammel Hall

  • Students can schedule appointments at unocbacareeroutfitters@unomaha.edu or contact Molly Belieu.
  • Faculty and staff donations are accepted in the CBA Student Success Suite (Mammel Hall 134) or in the drop-off cart inside the northwest building doors of Mammel Hall.
