The UNO Staff Advisory Council invites all staff members to a delicious pancake lunch featuring The Pancake Man on March 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom! Get ready to catch pancakes, top your plate with a variety of delicious toppings, grab a delicious coffee, meet with SAC representatives, and enjoy time with colleagues from across campus.
UNO employees are encouraged to use one hour on the first Friday of each month to explore an activity that helps them be inventive, creative, and energized. How will you spend your hour on March 1?
All UNO staff are invited to the monthly general Staff Advisory Council meetings, held the second Tuesday of every month from 9 to 10:30 A.M. This month we will be at the Wellness Center with some fun team-building time from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. All staff welcome!
The Staff Advisory Council is soliciting nominations for its annual Unsung Hero, Above & Beyond, and SAC Recognition Awards. Nominate a colleague (or more than one) by April 1. Each awardee receives $500. Click the link to nominate.
Nominations are open through February 29 for the 2024 Joyce Crockett Promoting Diversity in STEM Staff Achievement Award. The nominee should be a UNO staff member who has significantly contributed or brought attention to issues affecting women in STEM. Click the link for more information.
Katie Welchans, Office Associate for the Department of History, has been named UNO’s Employee of the Month for February 2024. Welchans was praised for going above and beyond to support her colleagues and fostering an inclusive atmosphere for students, faculty, and staff.
