Join fellow Mavericks in Celebration at December Commencement! 🎓
This Friday, Dec. 20, at Baxter Arena, we will celebrate our graduates across two ceremonies: 9 A.M. (CAS, CEHHS, & UNL ENG) and 2 P.M. (CBA, CPACS, IS&T, & CFAM).
This year’s keynote speaker is UNO graduate Zach Miller—former NFL player and aspiring musician. UNO will also honor Dr. Gina Ligon with the Chancellor’s Medal, John Wilson with the Order of the Tower, and Joan Squires with an Honorary Degree. Commencement’s success depends on the support of our incredible volunteers!
Plan ahead and arrive early to celebrate the many achievements our graduates have made!
All UNO staff are invited to the monthly general Staff Advisory Council meetings, held the second Tuesday of every month from 9 to 10:30 A.M. This month we will be at the Community Engagement Center (CEC), room CEC 231. If you're unable to join us in-person, you are welcome to join us via Zoom! 📣
University of Nebraska Board of Regents KUDOS Award
Megan LeClair, Senior Events Manager for UNO's Baxter Arena, was presented a KUDOS award at the December University of Nebraska Board of Regents meeting in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dustin Pendley, Academic Advisor in UNO's College of Arts and Sciences, has been named November 2024 "Advisor of the Month" by the Academic Advising Council (AAC).
Pendley’s nominator said, “Dustin advised all students who are either interested in or are pursuing the English minor. His advice for students is based on their interests and aspirations. The number of our English minors has grown over the last couple of years and part of the credit for this rise should go to Dustin and his generous investment of time and energy in students.”
Congratulations, Dustin! 👏🏼
