These awards honor individuals who demonstrate wholehearted dedication to their work, their colleagues, the students, and the UNO campus.    Nominate a Colleague for a Staff Award! Upcoming UNO Events SAC General Member Nominations As a reminder, nominations for the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) General Member Elections open March 3 and close March 14. SAC represents UNO staff, advocating for workplace improvements and fostering a stronger campus community.    Want to learn more? If you're unable to join us in-person, you are welcome to join us via Zoom! 📣 Athletics Food Drive - Summit League Food Fight UNO Athletics is hosting a food drive throughout the month of February. They are competing against all the other schools in the Summit League. UNO is currently in third place! Linked below is the donation page, which includes some more information on the fundraiser. All of UNO's proceeds will go directly to the Maverick Food Pantry. The Summit League Board of Regents KUDOS Award February \| Sophia Potter Sophie Potter, job title, was presented a KUDOS award at the February University of Nebraska Board of Regents meeting in Lincoln, Nebraska.    Congratulations, Sophia! 📣 Employee of the Month January \| Natsumi Avedissian Natsumi Avedissian, Employer and Campus Relations Coordinator for Career Services has been named January 2025 Employee of the Month.   Avedissian was praised for her successful career fairs and ability to create meaningful connections with students and employers.   Congratulations, Natsumi! 🎉 Advisor of the Month January \| Nia Martinez Nia Martinez, Academic Advisor in the College of Business Administration has been named January 2025 Advisor of the Month by the Academic Advising Council (AAC).   Martinez was praised for her bright personality and ability to handle difficult situations.    Congratulations, Nia! 👏🏼 Nominate a UNO Staff Member for Employee of the Month and/or KUDOS Award Do you know a UNO colleague who continues to go above and beyond expectations? Acts of Service Passport The UNO Acts of Service Passport is a unique opportunity for UNO staff to log their meaningful service activities across campus and the Omaha community. Through this initiative, staff members can give back, strengthen connections, and earn points toward exciting incentives. The Spring 2025 Passport Program will run from March 2 – May 31.
