UNO’s Staff Advisory Council (SAC) just launched its 2025-2026 term with a new slate of members and a newly elected executive committee. We held our first meeting of the new SAC year this month. UNO is proud to support the return of Omaha’s beloved Memorial Park Concert and Fireworks on Friday, June 28. This year’s free community celebration features classic rock legends Three Dog Night and Little River Band, with local opener The Firm. It’s more than a concert, it is a citywide tradition that brings neighbors together and reflects UNO’s commitment to community engagement. Gates open at 5 p.m., music starts at 6 p.m., and fireworks light up the sky around 10 p.m. Grab your lawn chairs, bring your Maverick spirit, and we’ll see you at the park!
UNO’s 2025 Service Learning Seminar is set for July 15–18 and offers a hands-on opportunity for faculty, staff, and community partners to deepen their impact through experiential learning. The four-day seminar equips participants with tools to design meaningful, community-engaged courses that align with UNO’s mission of transformative education.
