Staff Appreciation Week reflects UNO’s values of Engagement and Maverick Spirit, while offering events for staff to embrace the Eight Dimensions of Wellness. It’s more than just fun, it is an opportunity to strengthen connections across campus.
Bring your MavCard for entry, and don’t be shy about bringing your family. This is a day to explore, learn, and have fun. Chancellor Li will stop by around 10:00 A.M.
The UNO Office of Military and Veteran Services (OMAVs) seeks to identify military-connected staff on campus in order to strengthen communication, engagement, and collaboration. By doing so, OMAVS aims to ensure military-connected colleagues are informed about events and initiatives, while also encouraging their involvement in supporting military-connected students.
Memo to Chancellor Li on Taskforce Recommendations
A memo was recently submitted to Chancellor Li outlining several initiatives to support staff. Administration has already begun reviewing the feasibility of these ideas, with more updates expected this fall.
Federal accessibility mandates are evolving quickly, and we know many of you are working hard to keep our digital tools and content compliant. To support you, UNO has resources and workshops designed to help staff navigate these changes and stay ahead of new requirements. While communication can’t always keep pace with shifting legislation, these tools are here to provide clarity and practical steps you can take now.
Dr. He and his wife, Ling, have generously offered to contribute $10,000 to Staff Advisory Council in support of staff initiatives when 750 UNO employees participate the annual giving day by giving $5 or more to any WBGB fund!
Every faculty or staff gift counts toward the 750-donor goal - whether given to the staff fund or to another area of choice.
Fina’s nominator said,"Kerry is an incredible advocate and support for all advisors on campus, not just us that work with him in the Division of Continuing Studies."
Whether it’s something going well on campus, an idea for improvement, or a challenge you’ve encountered in your work environment, the SAC Suggestion Box is your space to share honest, anonymous input.
Every submission is reviewed by the SAC executive team. We know this year has brought unique challenges, and while we may not have all the answers, we remain committed to listening, collaborating, and championing the needs of our Maverick staff community.
