What a Summer! Highlights from an Incredible Camp Season

☀️Wrapping Up a Fantastic Summer at AIM FOR THE STARS

As the school year quickly approaches, we're wrapping up an amazing summer at AIM FOR THE STARS—and what a summer it was!

Thanks to our incredible staff, we had another unforgettable season filled with exploration, creativity, and non-stop discovery. Campers dove into brand-new adventures with Mythical Creatures🐉, got messy (in the best way) with Grossology🔍, and brought imagination to life in Video Game Designer🎮—all of which were huge hits!

From building rockets to coding robots, our campers wowed us with their energy, curiosity, and talent. We’re already counting down the days until next summer and hope to see many familiar faces return for more fun!

📅 Save the date: Registration for Summer 2026 opens in January—don’t miss your chance to AIM high!

Join the Excitement of Nebraska Science Olympiad!

Science Olympiad is the nation’s premier team-based STEM competition, where students put their knowledge of science, math, engineering, robotics, and computer science to the test through hands-on, inquiry-driven events. Participants train throughout the year, strengthening problem-solving skills, building teamwork, and developing a lifelong passion for discovery🔬.

Last year, the STEM TRAIL Center proudly became the new home of the Nebraska Science Olympiad (NESO), and we’re excited to launch the state’s 38th Olympiad season🎉!

This year, our mission is to expand the reach of this incredible program by recruiting new coaches and engaging more secondary schools (grades 6–12) across Nebraska. To support this goal, the first 10 schools that haven’t participated in the past two years are eligible to register a team with free membership—a great way to get started.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with educators, schools, coaches, and students who may be interested. Together, we can inspire and empower the next generation of STEM leaders.

For more information, go the Nebraska Science Olympiad Website or contact the NESO director, Deanna Johansen, at the STEM TRAIL Center.
