UNO's STEM TRAIL Center recently named Tracie Reding, Ed.D., as its new Senior Research Associate.
Well-acquainted with UNO, Reding previously worked inSTEM outreach for the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences from 2018 to 2021. She rejoins UNO from Parlay Consulting Firm, where she served as Director of Research and Design.
The STEM TRAIL Center supports active research on STEM pedagogy, curriculum development and implementation, diffusion of best practices, workforce development, and other areas that lead to innovations in STEM teaching and learning. As part of the leadership team, Reding will help support affiliated faculty, students, and community working groups on extramurally funded grant activities and other research-focused projects.

Presented by ORCA for UNO faculty, this interactive session offers an overview of best practices in grant writing to maximize competitiveness at seeking external grant funding. Participants will learn how to benefit from the grant support ORCA offers. Lunch will be served.
The UNO Department of Gerontology is seeking participants for two studies involving adult caregivers:
Study 1: Looking for healthy adults (ages 19-90) and caregivers to an older adult with a chronic disease (e.g., dementia, cancer, cardiovascular disease), to participate in a study about the impact of aging on the neural and behavioral bases of social processing.
Study 2: Looking for older caregivers (age 50+) to an individual with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's disease, or Frontotemporal Dementia.
