A national gathering hosted by the Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) Resource and Evaluation Center (REC), the three-day conference encouraged scholars to network with their peers and potential employers, as well as participate in a number of professional development sessions.

Mark your calendars! The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s fourth annual giving day, Wear Black, Give Back, is November 8-9, noon to noon CST. During these 24 hours of generosity-packed fun, the STEM TRAIL Center is counting on you!
A $5 donation will provide an at-home STEM kit for one Omaha-area student
$10 will fund a field trip for one Aim for the Stars camper
$50 will fund one planetarium experience for a community group
Plus, if $250 total is donated to the Center during Wear Black, Give Back, then Dr. Chris Moore, STEM TRAIL director, will match this amount with a bonus gift of$250.
Join the Omaha STEM Ecosystem in conversation with Jaime Casap, a former Google Chief Educational Evangelist who was instrumental in the launch of Chromebooks in K-12 and higher education. This event is free and open to the public (reservation required).
Presented by ORCA for UNO faculty, this interactive session offers an overview of best practices in grant writing to maximize competitiveness at seeking external grant funding. Participants will learn how to benefit from the grant support ORCA offers. Lunch will be served.
