| View in browser   WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2022 UNO Announces Samuel Bak Museum: The Learning Center, Executive Director   Following years of work, the UNO-based museum and community-focused learning space dedicated to the life and work of renowned artist and Holocaust survivor Samuel Bak will open in February 2023 under the direction of Hillary Nather-Detisch. LEARN MORE NEWS Fox Receives UNO Distinguished Research or Creative Activity Award   The award recognizes and honors preeminent achievement in research or creative activity by full-time members of the graduate faculty at UNO. Derrick Fox, DMA, accepted the award at the Faculty Honors Convocation. CONGRATULATIONS, DR. FOX!   Metro High School Students Attend 2022 Chuck Hagel Symposium   Roughly 200 students from the Omaha area gathered at UNO for an expert discussion on public service featuring UNO alumnus Chuck Hagel, former U.S. Secretary of Defense and former U.S. Senator from Nebraska.
