An innovative partnership between OPS and UNO will help attract and retain teachers. Funding from OPS will support four initiatives at UNO that will create more pathways into the teaching profession and expand professional development for current teachers. Chancellor Joanne Li, Ph.D., CFA, said "This grant and the projects it supports will have a direct, positive impact on Omaha Public Schools ability to help teachers in the classroom, where their work allows students to learn and grow."
As we are faced with challenges, whether they be personal, professional, social, or economic, it can oftentimes feel like we are alone or that we lack the resources to deal with feelings of stress, anxiety, fear, and overall wellness. We encourage Mavericks to "Connect. Take Care. Get Help." when they need support.
