BJ Reed Serves as Chair of the CPACS 50th Anniversary Celebration

I am proud to have been asked to serve as the Honorary Chair of CPACS’s 50th Anniversary Celebration throughout 2022. The Committee listed below represents a broad array of alumni who span almost the entire 50 years since CPACS was established in 1972.

We are in the early stages of planning the celebration, but we hope to have a kickoff event in the spring and a culminating event in the late fall. Each of the programs and academic units in the college will also be planning events during 2022 to work in conjunction with those at the college level.

We hope to garner your ideas as we build a on-campus and virtual events and activities. Suggestions from the committee and others range from awards celebrations and guest speakers to blogs, websites and ways for current students, faculty, and staff along with alumni and former faculty and staff to join in the effort.

It will also be an opportunity to support current and future students by giving to new and existing scholarships and other projects that can support the College, its program, and its academic units. I urge you to keep informed and connected as our celebratory year begins in January. If you have suggestions or ideas to share, please send them along to Dean John Bartle (jbartle@unomaha.edu) so the committee can plan the best events and activities possible. Thanks for being a CPACS advocate and for making even the next 50 years more exceptional than the last!
